5 April, 2012. Pebbles had surgery and is sleeping at
Bahamas Humane Society in Nassau.
Gretchen the horse has almost lost her winter (!)
coat, which is a good thing since tomorrow may be 87 degrees… Every afternoon
she turns the back doorknob to get her cereal. Later she turns the doorknob to
remind me it’s time for her evening “exfoliation treatment”… rubbing and
scraping. One more reminder for her carrot treats. All quiet till about 9 pm when she is back again. Then it’s time
for her nighttime cereal and hay and relocation outside the fence till morning.
Gretchen likes Princess the dog, but Princess doesn’t like anyone or any horse
very close. I don’t know much about
horses, but I think Gretchen looks pretty good and shiny for over 35 years
old. She is not in the mood for photos,
so ears back. Please excuse the mess…
